This review is from: Broody Chick 100% Natural Fully Compostable Diapers (Toddler 15.4 - 35.2 lbs. (28-Count)) (Baby Product) Why doesn't Amazon stock them now? They are on an unknown when or if it will be in stock! Why doesn't Amazon offer them in cases with the 15%-30% discount? Who of us can compost our diapers? Maybe very few; but 100% biodegradable has still got to be way better than even Nature Babycare's, which are only 60% biodegradable, and the rest of the "eco-friendly" diapers, who can only claim that they don't put dioxins into the environment (not biodegradable at all!). Not only that, these diapers fit well; I can use them on my pudgy 1 year old or as a night diaper on my very skinny 5 year old (both kids weigh almost the same!). They feel sturdy. I have never had a leak. But they are expensive. Amazon could do an environmentally friendly thing by offering the 15-30% discount on them by offering them as subscribe&save products. Whatever, I cannot think of anything I don't like about these diapers. 18 of 19 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Broody Chick 100% Natural Fully Compostable Diapers (Newborn 6.6 - 13.2 lbs. (36-Count)) (Baby Product) Ok, I'll start by saying that I did not buy these diapers because I'm trying to save the planet (ducking from the barrage of organic tomatoes being thrown at me), but because my 22-month-old is actually allergic to Super-Absorbent Polymers (otherwise known as SAP's or those little gel balls that we find on our baby's bottoms after wearing a disposable diaper), and my go-to brand Tushies appears to be out of business. How do I know my baby is allergic to SAP's? I'll tell you! At 12 months of age, having been diapered only in Pampers, he developed a rash that seemed to be concentrated around areas that were the wettest (front area). After using every cream on the market (including a whole jar of Triple paste), breast milk, RX for yeast infections, and RX for topical bacterial infection, the rash continued to get worse. By 16 months (yes we battled diaper rash for 4 months), he literally had a giant, rectangular hive wherever his bottom would contact the diaper. I threw... This review is from: Broody Chick 100% Natural Fully Compostable Diapers (Toddler 15.4 - 35.2 lbs. (28-Count)) (Baby Product) I searched through the amazon reviews, through cloth diapering blogs, and on any website I could find to see if these diapers had that absorbent gel in them and couldn't find anything that said they did SO I broke down and bought them even though they are expensive. I could tell it had that gel in them as soon as I got them and felt them -because you can feel hard areas in the diapers right out of the box. I tried it anyway just in case I was wrong, but after one wet diaper I pulled it apart and they are FULL of that absorbent gel. I started cloth diapering because I was so tired of finding that gel on my babies skin and feeling like it could easily get wiped into a place I definitely didnt want it to be. If you are looking for gel-free diapers the only one I have found is "Tushies." I have been having trouble finding Tushies in the size that I need so I finally tried something else and am so disappointed. The information on the box (and website) is very deceiving because it lists... Read more |
